Another week has come and gone, and it’s been one of those weird “busy but not<\/em> that busy” kinda weeks. We saw a bit of new footage from Sonic Origins<\/a>, and it’s looking very tasty. An HD texture pack was showcased for Mario Kart 64<\/a>, and we discovered yet another bonkers Breath of the Wild trick in which you can take your horse up Death Mountain<\/a>!<\/em><\/p>\n

In terms of features this week, our beloved Tom took a look at Nintendo’s extraordinary first-party flow in an age of seemingly endless delays<\/a>, Kate spoke to Aggro Crab on their latest crabtastic title, Another Crab’s Treasure<\/a>, and yours truly threw some lavish praise on Thumper for its fifth anniversary on Switch<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

I’ll be playing more Citizen Sleeper<\/a> this weekend! I’ve only just really started it before getting sucked into other stuff, but I’m loving what I’ve played so far. I’ve not really played much else like it, and the writing is really fantastic. I think this is going to be one of my favourites of the year.<\/p>\n

I’ve also started Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth<\/a>, and holy moly, this is some of the best-looking pixel art I’ve ever seen. I enjoy watching speedrunning events and I particularly love Metroidvania exhibitions, so I’ve seen this in motion a few times. But seeing it on your own TV is something else. It’s definitely a Symphony of the Night<\/strong> clone with more of a focus on elements, but that’s okay \u2014 I adore Symphony of the Night, and if this is even half as good as that, then it’s a winner.
