Yesterday’s UK charts<\/a> shared a familiar story in the UK: Mojang’s Switch port of the hugely popular Minecraft<\/a> is once again in the top ten, let alone the top 40. The game has been in the charts for a staggering 193 weeks in the UK, but this week sees the Java-created game breaking a pretty huge UK sales milestone.<\/p>\n

Minecraft on Switch is now the third biggest-selling game on the console, according to GfK’s sales figures. This comes from Gamesindustry.biz<\/a>‘s Chris Dring on Twitter, who reveals that the sandbox game has outsold some Nintendo titans in the process. While Dring is unable to share exact numbers, third place puts it behind the two usual suspects of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe<\/a> and Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/a> \u2014 some hugely impressive company to be at the top with.<\/p>\n
