Well, it’s certainly been a bit of a busier week for us here at Nintendo Life! Looking at game announcements, we’re going to be getting Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards on the Switch Online Expansion Pass<\/a>, plus Alan Wake has been confirmed for release on the Switch later this year<\/a>. Finally, of course, we had a brand new Indie World showcase, bursting at the seams with lots of cool little eShop gems<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

In other news, our very own NL community member Zuljaras created a remarkable DOOM sculpture<\/a>, we took a look at the emergent narrative within Minecraft<\/a>, and there’s been a bizarre bit of drama surrounding the Fei Long character in Street Fighter<\/a>! Last, but certainly not least of course, we saw the release of Nintendo’s financial results for FY2022, begging the question as to when we might actually see the arrival of the Switch 2<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Now it’s time to chill out and<\/em> discuss our weekend gaming plans.<\/em> A few m<\/em>embers of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!<\/em><\/p>\n

This weekend, it\u2019s a double dose of new, short RPGs, both of a very different kind! I\u2019ll be diving into the Metroidvania-esque Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising<\/a>, which looks like a really neat little primer before the main event \u2013 Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes<\/strong> \u2013 hits next year. I don\u2019t mind the idea of repetitive fetch quests right now; I just need a pleasant, low-stakes experience.<\/p>\n

Also on the docket is Jump Over The Age\u2019s Citizen Sleeper<\/a>, a game that only popped up on my radar a few weeks ago. I stumbled upon the soundtrack<\/a>, and the lo-fi synthwave beats practically screamed (hummed?) \u201cpick the game up\u201d! Our review also helped, too. More tabletop RPG, and much higher stakes, but similarly about people and communities. See you next week!<\/p>\n
