The premise was fantastic, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/06\/hands_on_empire_of_sin_is_a_complex_crime_caper_created_by_video_game_royalty\">pedigree<\/a> of the team behind it \u2013 led by none other than Brenda and John Romero \u2013 gave plenty of reason to be optimistic about this &#8220;gangsters meets <strong>XCOM<\/strong>&#8221; turn-based offering.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, as you&#8217;ll know if you consulted our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/reviews\/nintendo-switch\/empire_of_sin\">review<\/a>, Empire of Sin didn&#8217;t <em>quite<\/em> live up to its tantalising potential.
