He will be joining Apple to &#8220;continue my work improving Apple device security.&#8221; <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p>Project Zero is Google&#8217;s security research team that concentrates on finding security issues and vulnerabilities in software, both in Google&#8217;s own products and of other major firms. The team works to improve the security of devices and software the general public uses by pointing out the issues to device producers, before performing an ethical disclosure of its findings. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p>This includes a collection of <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/20\/04\/29\/google-discloses-zero-click-bugs-impacting-all-apple-platforms\">zero-click bugs<\/a> in Apple&#8217;s Image I\/O framework affecting all of Apple&#8217;s major platforms, and <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/19\/08\/30\/iphone-exploits-contained-in-hacked-websites-gathered-files-and-location-data-went-unnoticed-for-years\">discovering exploits<\/a> in hacked websites targeting iPhones. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<div class=\"align-center\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">My teammates at Project Zero have been among the kindest and smartest people I&#8217;ve met, and I&#8217;ve learned so much from them.
