This information was revealed by the company in a press release on its official website:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The game is currently being developed with Capcom&#8217;s proprietary RE ENGINE in order to provide a new, approachable <em>Monster Hunter<\/em> experience that can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere and with anyone.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This is the same next-generation engine powering games like <strong>Resident Evil Village<\/strong>, the remakes, and <strong>Devil May Cry 5<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Capcom&#8217;s confirmation follows on from a tweet by the insider <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AestheticGamer1\/status\/1299498175930138625\">Dusk Golem<\/a> back in August, who said the new Monster Hunter game would run on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2020\/08\/rumour_new_monster_hunter_for_switch_will_be_revealed_soon_according_to_capcom_insider\">Switch compatible version of the RE Engine<\/a>. At the time, they also said it wouldn&#8217;t necessarily lead to Switch ports of <em>other<\/em> RE Engine games:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;I will crush one dream with my RE Engine on Switch talk: RE7, RE2 &amp; RE3 aren&#8217;t coming to Switch. They tried to port RE7 to Switch for a while one time, but had difficulty getting any satisfactory result.
