Earlier this month a posting on the official Nintendo website seemed to reveal the service would be delayed until 2019, but a quick correction re-confirmed its arrival for this year.<\/p>\n<p>The service will cost $19.99 for an annual subscription, with options for a monthly subscription ($3.99) and a three-month setup ($7.99). As detailed before, the service will include access to a Classic Game Selection including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nes\/super_mario_bros_3\"><strong>Super Mario Bros. 3<\/strong><\/a>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nes\/balloon_fight\">Balloon Fight<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/gameboy\/dr_mario\">Dr. Mario<\/a><\/strong> (although these titles could change between now and launch).<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NintendoSwitch?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NintendoSwitch<\/a> Online will launch in September 2018! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/h3Rpeyymsx\">pic.twitter.com\/h3Rpeyymsx<\/a><\/span>\u2014 Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NintendoAmerica\/status\/958872936257019904?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 1, 2018<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p>The Nintendo Switch Online app, which will serve as a companion to the service, will provide players with the ability to use voice chat in lobbies, etc (depending on whether said game supports it). The app will also support SplatNet 2 for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/splatoon_2\"><strong>Splatoon 2<\/strong><\/a> so you can check your battle stats at any time.<\/p>\n<p>So we finally have a date.
