Although it&#8217;s only just gone live, it doesn&#8217;t appear to be quite as exciting as the previous content updates.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, it still includes a lot of important fixes that address problems found in previous versions of the game &#8211; all the way back to Version 1.3.0. One of the highlights of this update is that shining soil will no longer appear behind buildings and &#8220;other&#8221; places. This should make life on your tropical island a little less stressful<em>.<\/em> Dreaming will no longer crash the game &#8220;under certain conditions&#8221;, either.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the full patch notes, courtesy of the official Nintendo Support page:<\/p>\n<h3>Ver. 1.4.2 (Released August 20, 2020)<\/h3>\n<p>The software has been updated if you see \u201cVer. 1.4.2\u201d in the upper-right corner of the title screen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>General updates<\/strong><br \/>The following issues have been addressed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From Ver. 1.4.1:\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed issue where the \u201csumo ring\u201d would not display properly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>From Ver. 1.4.0:\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed issue where the game would shut down under certain conditions when dreaming.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed issue where shining soil would improperly appear behind buildings and other places.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed issue where specific message cards sent from animal residents the player is close friends with would not arrive in the player\u2019s mailbox as intended.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>From Ver. 1.3.0:\n<ul>\n<li>Changed the MTU when playing with others from 1364 to 1240 in order to investigate an issue where players cannot play with others in certain network environments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p>Have you downloaded the latest update for New Horizons?
