After enjoying the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/10\/pokemon_masters_just_had_the_strongest_launch_month_for_a_mobile_pokemon_game_since_go\">strongest launch month<\/a> for any mobile Pok\u00e9mon game since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/mobile\/pokemon_go\"><strong>Pok\u00e9mon GO<\/strong><\/a>, things were looking good, but fans soon became disappointed with the content on offer, forcing the game&#8217;s producer into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/10\/pokemon_masters_producer_apologises_for_disappointing_players\">issuing an apology<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s come a long way since then, but the biggest update so far is just around the corner. On 27th August, in celebration of the game&#8217;s one-year anniversary, the game will be evolving into a new form: <strong>Pok\u00e9mon Masters EX<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The name change &#8211; and the update itself &#8211; have been explained in the new video you see above. In it, producer Yu Sasaki and operations producer Tetsuya Iguchi show off the new name and tell us that the game will soon receive some new features, including six-star EX sync pairs. This brand new power level brings new opportunities for upcoming trainer and Pok\u00e9mon pairs, and older pairs will gain the ability to evolve, too.<\/p>\n<p>The update also introduces the Champion Stadium&#8217;s Kanto Challenge where players will face off against the Kanto region&#8217;s Elite Four.
