There was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/06\/bloodstained_ritual_of_the_night_has_game-breaking_bug_advice_given_to_switch_owners\">game-breaking bug<\/a>, the frame rate was halved and the texture quality and resolution also took a hit.<\/p>\n<p>Despite arriving a week later than the rest (and overlooking the state of this version), out of all the platforms &#8211; the Nintendo Switch release had the &#8220;biggest response&#8221; &#8211; with the creator, Koji Igarashi, revealing it sold &#8220;well above&#8221; expectations, in a recent interview with <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.famitsu.com\/\">Famitsu<\/a> (as translated by <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Oni_Dino\">Oni_Dino<\/a> of Nintendo Everything).<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9\">\n<p>&#8220;The Nintendo Switch. Sales were well above our expectations. The game launched one week later on Switch than on other consoles, and I figured fans wouldn\u2019t be able to wait the extra week for the Switch version, so that was unexpected.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Apart from the large install base, Igarashi thinks the game&#8217;s success on the Switch <em>might<\/em> be linked to him developing games on Nintendo platforms before this, but more likely how the Switch is the only system capable of playing Bloodstained on the go.<\/p>\n<p>Did you contribute to Bloodstained&#8217;s sales (and success) on the Nintendo Switch?
