A Twitter user recently tweeted about a point where you can no longer 100% the game if your partner defeats the enemy:<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">THIS NEEDS A PATCH! If Prof. Toad kills the Black Shy Guy, You can&#8217;t 100% the game <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/PaperMario?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#PaperMario<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/PaperMarioTheOrigamiKing?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#PaperMarioTheOrigamiKing<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NintendoSwitch?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NintendoSwitch<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/j3tTQ5y0Xi\">pic.twitter.com\/j3tTQ5y0Xi<\/a><\/span>\u2014 Sergio Montenegro (@Sergiomonty) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Sergiomonty\/status\/1290011682119417856?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 2, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p>GoNintendo explains exactly what happens in a bit more detail:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>At one point during your journey, you&#8217;ll be asked to take down two black Shy Guys. They only appear once, as it&#8217;s a story portion of the game. If you battle them and win, all&#8217;s good and they&#8217;ll be added to the tally of your defeated enemies. If your partner at the time, [Professor Toad], lands the final blow and defeats the black Shy Guys for you, the game will never add the enemy to your compendium.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It means that you&#8217;ll never be able to achieve the 100% in-game completion goal. The image at the top of this page shows what the compendium should look like if you do manage to land the final blow.<\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t the only glitch in the game &#8211; there&#8217;s a much more, let&#8217;s say, <em>major<\/em> one that can prevent you from progressing any further in your adventure. Fortunately, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2020\/07\/nintendo_is_aware_of_paper_marios_game-breaking_bug_will_resolve_issues_asap\">Nintendo has said it is aware of reports and will resolve the issue in a future update<\/a>.
