{"id":113815,"date":"2020-06-05T18:12:33","date_gmt":"2020-06-05T18:12:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gamefromscratch.com\/post.aspx?id=b7fa88a3-689f-43d8-913c-3cd953564960"},"modified":"2020-06-05T18:12:33","modified_gmt":"2020-06-05T18:12:33","slug":"embergen-real-time-fluid-simulation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sickgaming.net\/blog\/2020\/06\/05\/embergen-real-time-fluid-simulation\/","title":{"rendered":"EMBERGEN Real-Time Fluid Simulation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jangafx.com\/software\/embergen\/\">Embergen<\/a>, by JangaFX is a real-time fluid simulation software for creating fire and smoke effects for game and film projects.&nbsp; You can create and modify fluid simulations in real-time on consumer class graphics hardware and export your results in flipbook or image sequence formats for use in games, or export in OpenVDB format, an open standard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamefromscratch.com\/post\/2020\/06\/03\/Blender-283-LTS-Released.aspx\">Blender 2.83<\/a> just acquired the ability to import.<\/p>\n<p>Details from the <a href=\"https:\/\/jangafx.com\/2020\/06\/01\/embergen-beta-0-5-3-0-release-notes\/\">0.5.3 release<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>Improved the fidelity and simulations of ALL presets and added 9 new presets.\n<\/li>\n<li>Pressure solver improvements:\n<ul>\n<li>Improve base pressure solver accuracy and performance.\n<\/li>\n<li>Slight memory reduction.\n<\/li>\n<li>Expose more pressure solver controls.\n<\/li>\n<li>Increasing the parameters will improve the accuracy and produce better motion, but are more expensive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Volume masking\/Simulation post-processing (only visual, not affecting the simulation): Motion blur, Sharpening, Dilate, Stylized.\n<\/li>\n<li>Basic navigation gizmo in the lower left corner to show orientation.\n<\/li>\n<li>Fixed crashes and freezes when previewing some output modes.\n<\/li>\n<li>Fixed the Simulation upscaling parameters being incorrect when loading from a preset.\n<\/li>\n<li>Improved tooltips.\n<\/li>\n<li>Sixpoint and normals fixed for upscaling.\n<\/li>\n<li>Improved background color with transparency.\n<\/li>\n<li>General rendering improvements and speedup.\n<\/li>\n<li>Simulation looping:\n<ul>\n<li>No longer cuts on the first loop wraparound.\n<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an off-by-one error where later loop iterations did not sync properly.\n<\/li>\n<li>Fixed parameters not animating correctly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Improved accuracy of turbulence advection.\n<\/li>\n<li>Made the ExportVDB node work similar to the ExportImage node.
