This introduces another platform for developers to have their games seen by a wider audience.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Similar to YouTube and Twitch, the pilot program is &#8220;actively exploring ways for fans to back their favorite gaming creators via payments during select livestreams on Facebook,&#8221; but\u00a0it isn&#8217;t clear yet how the company will encourage direct fan support from people watching a stream.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In addition to ensuring\u00a0that streamers will be able to make a living off of streaming games on Facebook, the platform will enable all creators accepted into the pilot program to livestream\u00a0at 1080p\/60fps (Facebook live video previously ran at 720p\/30fps).
