That&#8217;s one way to cure Joy-Con drift at least \u2013 albeit one which is a bit out of most peoples technical capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Hardware tinkerer Matteo Pisani has an <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@matteo.pisani.91\/how-i-hacked-nintendo-joy-con-controller-8ac22d75b0b8\">interesting write-up on the project here<\/a> and a detailed video above. It&#8217;s a fascinating read as it shows Matteo&#8217;s thought process as he worked out how the circular touchpad could interface as a replacement to the regular analogue nub as found on the Switch Joy-Con. It&#8217;s a lot more complex to do this hack that it might seem at first.<\/p>\n<p>The results seem very impressive, although Matteo does plan to clean this design up a bit more with a smaller PCB which will fit inside the Joy-Con.
