Famitsu’s Japanese chart figures are now in for 20th – 26th April, revealing that Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/a><\/strong> has smashed yet another record – and this one’s a biggie<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The game sold an estimated 283,913 copies in Japan last week, taking its lifetime sales total in the region to a mighty 3.89 million. This means that in terms of physical sales in Japan (Nintendo doesn’t regularly provide its digital sales data, unfortunately) New Horizons is now the best-selling game on Nintendo Switch, overtaking Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/strong><\/a> which currently sits at an estimated 3.66 million physical copies sold.<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, Animal Crossing also remained at number one this week, comfortably ahead of new release, Trials of Mana<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
