Following <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2020\/03\/e3_2020_is_officially_cancelled\">E3 2020&#8217;s cancellation<\/a>, Nintendo had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2020\/03\/nintendo_responds_to_cancellation_of_e3_2020_says_it_will_consider_various_ways_to_engage_with_fans\">previously said<\/a> that it would &#8220;continue to be flexible and redirect [its] efforts&#8221; to keep fans up to date in other ways.<\/p>\n<p>June Nintendo Direct presentations have been streamed alongside E3 since 2013, with Nintendo holding on-stage presentations before that. Venture Beat says that &#8220;complications brought about from Japan\u2019s work-from-home order as part of its attempts to mitigate COVID-19&#8221; are to blame for the breaking of this trend.<\/p>\n<p>Reportedly, Nintendo was planning to host a June event as usual which would have unveiled its first-party schedule for 2020, likely showing off the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2020\/03\/nintendo_to_remaster_most_of_super_mariors_35-year_catalogue_for_switch_in_2020_new_report_says\">rumoured Super Mario 35th Anniversary remasters<\/a> for Nintendo Switch. Should this report be true, we might have to wait a little longer before learning about Nintendo&#8217;s plans for the rest of the year.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, Nintendo has not issued any official statement relating to this report.
