Published by 3D Realms &#8211; the studio behind <strong>Duke Nukem 3D<\/strong>, <strong>Prey<\/strong>, and <strong>Max Payne<\/strong> &#8211; it originally launched on Steam last summer and has received &#8216;overwhelmingly positive&#8217; user reviews.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s an official description:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"22\">\n<p>Tear through cyborg infantry, giant robots and even wendigos with eight retro-inspired weapons. Dual-wield Penetrator SMGs with incendiary ammunition to scorch foes, wreak havoc with the Disperser with either shotgun shells or swap in grenade rounds, or chuck a Clusterpuck into a room and delete everyone.<\/p>\n<p>Utilizing the same Build engine behind the original <em>Duke Nukem 3D<\/em>, <em>Ion Fury<\/em> offers the beloved feel of \u201890s shooters. Seamlessly integrated modern features include headshots, environmental interaction, improved physics, auto-saves, and widescreen functionality. <em>Ion Fury<\/em>\u2019s marriage of both styles provides both a genuine introduction to classic FPS games and a worthy addition to the genre as a whole, as evidenced by winning IndieDB\u2019s game of the year award.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;ll be launching on the Nintendo Switch eShop on 14th May, with pre-purchasing going live from 7th May in Europe.
