Toaplan \u2013 famous for hits such as <strong>Hellfire<\/strong>, <strong>Zero Wing<\/strong> and <strong>Snow Bros.<\/strong> \u2013 folded in the mid-&#8217;90s but would spawn Cave and Raizing, as well as other shooter companies.<\/p>\n<p>M2 plans to bring every Toaplan title \u2013 with the exception of <strong>Mahjong Sisters<\/strong> and <strong>Enma Dai\u014d<\/strong> \u2013 to consoles as part of its M2 Shot Triggers x Toaplan series, and has now revealed the first few games. That version \u2013 which wasn&#8217;t quite arcade perfect \u2013 now changes hands for well over a thousand dollars on the secondary market, often more, and the original arcade PCB is also very expensive these days.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Tatsujin-Oh eBay\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/235398a8b85c0\/tatsujin-oh-ebay.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/235398a8b85c0\/tatsujin-oh-ebay.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Tatsujin-Oh eBay\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>M2 hasn&#8217;t confirmed which platforms its Toaplan titles will be coming to, but given that it has chosen to support Switch with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/esp_ra_de_psi\">ESP.Ra.De Psi<\/a><\/strong>, there&#8217;s a good chance we&#8217;ll be playing these games on your favourite hybrid console \u2013 and when you consider you can run titles in TATE mode with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2018\/11\/hardware_review_flip_grip_the_dream_peripheral_for_shmup_addicts\">Flip Grip<\/a>, it could be the best platform to rediscover these classic titles on.<\/p>\n<p>No release date has been confirmed, either, but M2 has revealed that it&#8217;s all-new shooter <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2020\/02\/we_really_really_hope_m2s_new_shooter_comes_to_switch\">Senjin<\/a><\/strong> will hit Japanese arcades later this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A while back, emulation expert M2 announced that it had acquired the rights to bring a bunch of classic Toaplan shooters to home consoles.
