Famitsu’s Japanese chart figures are now in for 30th March – 5th April, revealing that Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/a><\/strong> is still having a wonderful time at the top.<\/p>\n

The game sold an estimated 423,367 copies in the region last week, taking its Japanese physical sales total to just over 3 million. Amazingly, this means that – after just three weeks on sale – New Horizons has already surpassed the lifetime physical sales total achieved by Switch’s evergreen giant Mario Kart 8 Deluxe<\/a><\/strong> in the country.<\/p>\n

Animal Crossing’s third-week success also keeps it at number one in the weekly chart, comfortably holding off PS4’s big release this week, Resident Evil 3<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
