If you’re looking to lose all of your closest friends and ruin everyone’s day, you’ve certainly come to the right place.<\/p>\n

For the most part, the Animal Crossing<\/strong> fan community seems to be a lovely, charming place full of welcoming players who enjoy everything about Nintendo’s chilled out series. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t one or two jokers, though, and this New Horizons<\/strong><\/a> prank has given us quite a chuckle (and concern for its creator’s poor girlfriend).<\/p>\n

You see, a Reddit user going by the name ‘buttfartsauce’ (does it get any more perfect?) has created a custom design resembling the starfish-shaped pattern often found on the ground. As players of the game will know, these patterns signify that a fossil is buried in that very spot and you’ll almost certainly want to dig it up to see what you’ve found.<\/p>\n

In a post shared online, they say, “I did a little prank. I’m going to put these all over my girlfriend’s island,” presumably leaving her to constantly think she’s found a fossil, go to dig it up, and get horribly confused.<\/p>\n
