A special stage has been made for this new rerelease and we can now see it in action for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>We first heard about this new level earlier in the month, when senior developer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2020\/03\/hell_yes_doom_64s_re-release_includes_an_entirely_new_chapter\">James Haley revealed<\/a> that a new chapter would be playable in the game that ties into the new 2016 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/doom\"><strong>DOOM<\/strong><\/a> and DOOM Eternal. Back then, he said that &#8220;persistent players will have the opportunity to unlock a new chapter in the Doomguy&#8217;s saga, taking place shortly after [Doom 64&#8217;s] original campaign concludes&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>As it turns out, the tie-in content appears to revolve around the text shown upon completion of the level, which provides a little more lore relating to both the newer releases and DOOM 64 itself. Of course, the series&#8217; most dedicated fans will get the most out of this little nod.<\/p>\n<p>Will you be grabbing DOOM 64 tomorrow?
