This is the first new datacenter launch by Microsoft in 2020, continuing a series of datacenter openings with <a href=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/first-microsoft-cloud-regions-in-middle-east-now-available\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">United Arab Emirates<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/blog\/2019\/07\/25\/microsoft-office-365-now-available-from-new-south-africa-cloud-datacenters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">South Africa<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/blog\/2019\/12\/13\/microsoft-office-365-available-new-swiss-datacenter-regions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Switzerland<\/a> also coming online in the last 9 months. This year, we will continue to extend our global offerings by delivering Office 365 and Dynamics 365 and Power Platform from new datacenter regions in Norway.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft is continuously making new investments in local infrastructure in response to growing customer demand as more industry leaders choose Microsoft\u2019s cloud services to further their digital transformations. The new regions are designed to address the evolving needs of German customers with a range of innovative regional Microsoft cloud services to enable their businesses to move faster and achieve more. The new datacenter regions offer Microsoft\u2019s full featured global cloud offering, full connectivity to our global cloud network, and customer data residency in Germany. This provides our customers with trusted cloud services that help them meet local compliance and policy requirements. In addition, replication of customer data in multiple datacenters across Germany gives customers reliable in-country services for business continuity in both pure cloud and hybrid scenarios.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/products.office.com\/home?ms.url=office365com&amp;rtc=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Office 365<\/a>, the world\u2019s leading cloud-based productivity solution, helps customers enable the modern workplace and empower their employees with real-time collaboration and cloud-powered intelligence while maintaining security, compliance, and in-country customer data residency. Microsoft\u2019s cloud-based productivity solutions provide email, collaboration, conferencing, enterprise social networking, and business intelligence. <a href=\"https:\/\/products.office.com\/microsoft-teams\/group-chat-software\">Microsoft Teams<\/a>, in addition to Exchange Online, Sharepoint Online, and OneDrive for Business, are all delivered from the new German datacenter regions with local customer data storage.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Microsoft\u2019s suite of intelligent business applications and tools that include&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dynamics.microsoft.com\/customer-service\/overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dynamics 365&nbsp;Customer Service<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/dynamics.microsoft.com\/field-service\/overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dynamics 365 Field Service<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/dynamics.microsoft.com\/sales\/overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dynamics 365 Sales<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/dynamics.microsoft.com\/project-service-automation\/overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation<\/a> are now open for first customers and partners and will be successively available for further customers in the coming months. <a href=\"https:\/\/powerbi.microsoft.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Power BI<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/powerplatform.microsoft.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Power Automate<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/powerapps.microsoft.com\/\/common-data-service\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Power Apps<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/dynamics.microsoft.com\/ax-overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dynamics&nbsp;365 for Finance<\/a> and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dynamics.microsoft.com\/supply-chain-management\/overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Supply Chain Management<\/a> will follow later.<\/p>\n<p>We see German organizations of all sizes and across all industries currently investing in new ways of empowering their employees with modern tools to enable secure, flexible, and mobile working that fosters collaboration. This latest step will enable organizations and enterprises adopting&nbsp;Office 365 to accelerate their digital transformation journey.
