Last year, <strong><a class=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps4\/soulcalibur_vi\">SoulCalibur VI<\/a><\/strong> producer Motohiro Okubo said he was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2018\/08\/producer_of_soulcalibur_vi_open_to_game_on_switch_if_its_actually_possible\">open to the idea<\/a> of the new entry coming to the Switch, if it was possible, and now in a more recent interview with the <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/soulcaliburcommunity.com\/evo-japan-2020-kayane-interviews-soulcalibur-vi-producer-and-director\/\">SoulCailburCommunity<\/a> he&#8217;s revealed the situation hasn&#8217;t really changed:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>If I have to answer seriously, I think I remember telling you previously that we\u2019re not sure we can port the game to Nintendo Switch. I said we have to examine and look into that, and well\u2026 When I said that, I didn\u2019t know if we\u2019d have a Season 2 yet and now that we have one, I\u2019ll be totally honest by saying we didn\u2019t have time to look into that. So basically, the situation hasn\u2019t changed much.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Here&#8217;s his previous response, in the interview dating back to August 2018:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>At the moment there is no development for Switch at all. I understand that the Switch is a very successful hardware, and of course if there is a possibility, then it would be great to do it.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The last SoulCalibur game released on a Nintendo platform was <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/wii\/soulcalibur_legends\">SoulCalibur Legends<\/a><\/strong> in 2007 for the Wii. Before then there was <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/gamecube\/soulcalibur_ii\">SoulCalibur II<\/a><\/strong> on the GameCube, featuring the exclusive fighter Link from <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nes\/legend_of_zelda\">The Legend of Zelda<\/a><\/strong> series. <em>Would you like to see the latest SoulCalibur game come to Switch?
