Ultimate<\/a><\/strong> is Sora from the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/3ds\/kingdom_hearts_3d_dream_drop_distance\">Kingdom Hearts<\/a><\/strong> series. Compared to a lot of other suggestions, this character actually seems like quite an appropriate fit for Nintendo&#8217;s all-star brawler.<\/p>\n<p>What are the chances then of Sora being added to the game, and why hasn&#8217;t Nintendo already made it happen? In the latest episode of the <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/SLg0CVc5vrk?t=1680\">Kinda Funny Gamescast<\/a>, former senior editor at Game Informer and industry insider <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/imranzomg\">Imran Khan<\/a> revealed how Nintendo had &#8220;absolutely approached Disney&#8221; about the possible inclusion of Sora in Smash. When asked if Disney was the problem, Khan explained how it was &#8220;Disney Japan specifically&#8221; who had supposedly prevented any deal from going ahead.<\/p>\n<p>You see, the Kingdom Hearts series is a collaboration between Square Enix and Disney \u2013 meaning it&#8217;s not as simple as just adding the character to the game with Square&#8217;s permission alone, as Disney <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mognetcentral.com\/threads\/disney-makes-it-clear-they-own-kh.4434\/\">outright<\/a> owns this IP. Therefore, it&#8217;s nothing like adding Cloud from the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nes\/final_fantasy\">Final Fantasy<\/a><\/strong> series, who is entirely owned by Square Enix. <em><br \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Even if this is true, it doesn&#8217;t necessarily rule out the Kingdom Hearts protagonist altogether.
