We’ve had a super-busy week full of news on that gorgeous Animal Crossing-themed Switch<\/a>, details on Pok\u00e9mon Home<\/a>, and even a new Super Smash Bros. fighter<\/a>, but now it’s time to take a breather and enjoy some games for a bit.<\/em><\/p>\n

After all of the Animal Crossing<\/strong> updates we got this week, I\u2019m really starting to feel the motivation to knock a bunch of games off of my backlog before it\u2019s time to start my life on a deserted island with some adorable anthropomorphs. I know once that game is here, I\u2019ll have very little interest in playing much else for a very long time.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why this weekend, I think I\u2019ll finally play a few titles I\u2019ve missed out on this past year – including Astral Chain<\/a><\/strong>, Fire Emblem: Three Houses<\/a><\/strong> and Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age<\/a><\/strong>. These were all games I wanted to play at launch, but ended up avoiding for whatever reason – and I know if I don\u2019t play them now, I never will.<\/p>\n

After putting an unreasonable amount of hours into DOOM<\/a><\/strong>, I’ve been craving something a little more light-hearted, so naturally I’ve started the brilliant Stardew Valley<\/a><\/strong> again from scratch. It’s such a wonderful game that’s brilliant for killing time, so I’ll no doubt be sticking with it at least until Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/a><\/strong> launches in March.<\/p>\n

I’m also happy to report that I’ve managed to get back into Pok\u00e9mon Sword<\/a><\/strong> after taking some time off, so maybe I’m not quite done with the franchise just yet!<\/p>\n
