There’s a reason I’m inclined to have this and Dragalia Lost on my Switch port wishlist because: a) in the absence of “Belarus” I primarily use a Russian Switch account anyway and b) when push comes to shove, Switch at least allows multiple region accounts without jumping through hoops like VPN apps and clear data/log out/log in routines. Even sideload apk hunts become less of an option with the advent of whimsical Google Play-locked localizations like Magia Record, although last time I checked, FEH still wasn’t subject to that – but back then, I didn’t have room for its 800+ Mb on the phone either.😆 Maybe I’ll give its apk another shot one day.

But for all the unmistakable FWP flavour of all the above, it still gives you an eyeroll – especially when Nintendo’s page in the local store remains represented by SMR and the very recent MKT… yet proudly sports the banner of Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, the game Belarusian users CAN’T legally access. Those two ranking tables per tour and the currency prizes they potentially give? Sure, there are a couple milestone gems to squeeze out of tier advancement as well, but I still haven’t seen anything to lose any sleep over. 🤔 As with all freemiums, the sane predetermined alternative to dumping money is casual play, casual grind and casual commitment. PvP normally plays a third fiddle (at best) in such games to boot. After years and years of the business model’s existence, gotta marvel at how many people still deem all this to be rocket science.

No publisher can empty your wallet unless you deliberately unzip it – for a “tempting perk” that is usually bound to get discounted, conventionally obtainable or outright given away in a matter of months. But if neither the three Casuals nor playing without whaling bring you enjoyment, then the obvious choice is to stick to full price games where MTX are either absent or work exclusively with cosmetic stuff.

I’d be significantly more interested if they introduced the game itself to Belarus after all these years.
