We’re used to hearing news every once and a while about a prominent video game company applying for a handful of trademarks, but this time it’s a little different.<\/p>\n

Instead of just a couple of games, Nintendo Co., Ltd has just applied for 39 \u2013 yes, 39<\/em> \u2013 video game trademarks in Japan, based on various older titles from past generations. The games mentioned include GameCube titles like Super Mario Sunshine<\/a><\/strong> and Eternal Darkness<\/a><\/strong>, Wii games such as The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword<\/a><\/strong> and DS games like Golden Sun: Dark Dawn<\/a><\/strong>. Even classic series like Wave Race<\/a><\/strong> and Kid Icarus<\/a><\/strong> get a mention.<\/p>\n
