Kenji Hiruta, who is considered to be one of the &#8220;main devs&#8221; who helped create the hit JRPG back in the day, recently tweeted how he would really like to develop a sequel:<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Strongly. I really really want to develop the sequel. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/QDCydPd00s\">https:\/\/t.co\/QDCydPd00s<\/a><\/span>\u2014 \u86ed\u7530\u5065\u53f8 Kenji Hiruta (@k_h00) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/k_h00\/status\/1216662935713398785?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 13, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p>The original game was released on Sega&#8217;s final console in October 2000 and was ported across to the Nintendo GameCube in 2002. It means the title is now nearly 20 years old.<\/p>\n<p>In the same interview with Kotaku last year, Rieko mentioned how she was &#8220;very grateful&#8221; the original game had a special place in the hearts of those who had played it.<\/p>\n<p><em>Would you like to see a Skies of Arcadia sequel?
