The only other characters we&#8217;ve really seen featured so far are the human ones. This includes a sheriff played by James Marsden and the evil villain Dr. Robotnik who is played by Jim Carrey.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Twitter account <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sonicparadise\/status\/1214865733756375040\">Sonic Paradise<\/a> and further confirmation from <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TailsChannel\/status\/1214884853910511619\">Tails&#8217; Channel<\/a>, there might actually be <em>other<\/em> characters in the movie, more like the anthropomorphic hedgehog. This information comes from the <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/paramount_spain\/status\/1214829476875505664\">Paramount Spain Twitter account<\/a>, which has supposedly lifted the lid on a rumoured owl character named Longclaw.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/SonicMovie?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#SonicMovie<\/a> tweet from Paramount Spain implied a name of a new character &#8211; Longclaw. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sonicparadise?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@sonicparadise<\/a> is reporting that this is the name of a rumoured owl character. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/SonicNews?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#SonicNews<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/hKSam9JY8m\">https:\/\/t.co\/hKSam9JY8m<\/a><\/span>\u2014 Tails&#8217; Channel \u00b7 Sonic the Hedgehog News &amp; Updates (@TailsChannel) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TailsChannel\/status\/1214874759625924608?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 8, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Tails&#8217; Channel followed this up by stating it could &#8220;independently confirm the name and existence&#8221; of the new character.<\/p>\n<p>So, who is Longclaw and what does it look like? It&#8217;s believed to be a minor character. Some diehard Sonic fans think it might be the son or a younger version of <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/sonic.fandom.com\/wiki\/Old_Man_Owl\">Old Man Owl<\/a> \u2013 an owl who appeared in the 1996 Sonic the Hedgehog <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/sonic.fandom.com\/wiki\/Sonic_the_Hedgehog:_The_Movie\">animated movie<\/a> (see above).
