We saw it happen with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2017\/11\/random_youve_seen_the_nes_classic_now_check_out_the_coolbaby_hdmi_hd_video_game\">NES Mini<\/a>, and it&#8217;s just happened with the Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n<p>Say hello to the &#8216;Nanica Smitch&#8217; \u2013 a knock-off Switch clone which comes pre-loaded with a whopping 800 games \u2013 and, as you might expect, they&#8217;re ROMs which the company behind this product doesn&#8217;t have the right to use.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I feel bad for anyone who\u2019s grandma gets them this for Christmas. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NintendoSmitch?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NintendoSmitch<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/pVYQzBB7B4\">pic.twitter.com\/pVYQzBB7B4<\/a><\/span>\u2014 Austin John Plays \ud83c\udf84 (@AustinJohnPlays) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AustinJohnPlays\/status\/1208391845253984256?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 21, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p>The legality of the software isn&#8217;t the only headache here; while the Smitch does have detachable, Joy-Con-style controllers, it&#8217;s much thicker than the Switch and the pads lack any kind of motion control. While it&#8217;s hard to tell categorically, the screen looks quite substandard, too. There&#8217;s no dock, either \u2013 instead, TV play is achieved by connecting the console directly to your display via a cable.
