If you enable the AR+ mode, you&#8217;ll be able to play with and feed your Buddy Pok\u00e9mon to level up your friendship and even earn powerful boosts to their CP. Your friendship levels will rise as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8211; Good Buddy: Your buddy will join you on your map, and appear on the new Buddy Profile page.<br \/>&#8211; Great Buddy: Your buddy can also appear in Pok\u00e9mon encounters and bring you items.<br \/>&#8211; Ultra Buddy: Your buddy will point out &#8220;interesting places&#8221; nearby and bring you Souvenirs &#8211; new items found on the Buddy Profile page.<br \/>&#8211; Best Buddy: Your buddy will sport a Best Buddy Ribbon and gain a CP boost in combat while still assigned as your buddy.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><\/blockquote>\n<p>In a lovely touch, the Pok\u00e9mon will also walk around with you on the map, similar to the fan-favourite feature found in mainline games like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/ds\/pokemon_heartgold_and_soulsilver\"><strong>Pok\u00e9mon HeartGold &amp; SoulSilver<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/pokemon_lets_go_pikachu_and_lets_go_eevee\"><strong>Pok\u00e9mon: Let&#8217;s Go, Pikachu! and Let&#8217;s Go, Eevee!<\/strong><\/a>. If your chosen Pok\u00e9mon doesn&#8217;t walk, they can fly, too.
