After the launch of the initial <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/04\/sonic_the_hedgehog_movie_gets_its_first_official_trailer_and_its_definitely_something\">trailer<\/a>, fan reaction was so hostile that the movie was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/05\/sonic_movie_director_promises_to_change_controversial_design\">delayed and retooled<\/a> \u2013 with help from <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/switch-eshop\/sonic_mania\">Sonic Mania&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/11\/yes_the_sonic_movie_redesign_was_led_by_sonic_mania_animator_tyson_hesse\">Tyson Hesse<\/a> \u2013 and we now have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/11\/gallery_sonic_movie_trailer_comparison_pics_-_check_out_before_and_after_sonics_redesign\"><em>much<\/em> more agreeable look<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>TV&#8217;s Conan O&#8217;Brien has taken a rather amusing swipe at the whole episode by running a skit on his show which &#8216;introduces&#8217; a new-look design with a rather large new feature \u2013 which isn&#8217;t addressed at any point during the piece.<\/p>\n<p>However, fun is had by pointing out that, despite all of the injustice in the world, people actually took the time to complain about the look of a make-believe animal character from a &#8217;90s video game.
