Last week we asked you to pick your favourite <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/11\/poll_which_starter_pokemon_is_the_best_choose_your_favourite_fire-type_starter\">Fire-<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/11\/poll_which_starter_pokemon_is_the_best_choose_your_favourite_grass-type_starter\">Grass-<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/11\/poll_which_starter_pokemon_is_the_best_choose_your_favourite_water-type_starter\">Water-type<\/a> starter Pok\u00e9mon from across the mainline <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/pokemon\">Pok\u00e9mon<\/a><\/strong> series to discover your three favourites from the 24 starter Pok\u00e9mon from the mainline games to date, including the Gen 8 starters from the soon-to-be-released <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/pokemon_sword_and_shield\">Pok\u00e9mon Sword and Shield<\/a><\/strong> on Switch.<\/p>\n<p>A big thank you to the thousands who voted &#8211; now is the time to reveal your favourites. They&#8217;ve been counted and recounted. Here we&#8217;ll give you the rundown of the top three in each category and reveal your <em>ultimate<\/em> starter lineup featuring the very best from across the eight generations of Pok\u00e9mon. Read on to find out&#8230;<\/p>\n<h2>Fire-type Starter Pok\u00e9mon &#8211; The Top 3 As Voted By You<\/h2>\n<p>In reverse order, Scorbunny scored the fewest number of votes &#8211; arguably to be expected seeing as very few have had the opportunity to get to know the Gen 8 firestarter yet. Perhaps more surprisingly, he was closely followed by the cute little Tepig in 7th place. Fennekin, Litten and Chimchar took 6th, 5th and 4th places respectively, but the first three generations made up the top 3&#8230;<\/p>\n<h3>3. Torchic<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"3Torchic\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/32bbf7aad8b43\/3torchic.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/32bbf7aad8b43\/3torchic.900x.jpg\" alt=\"3Torchic\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>With 13% of the overall vote, Gen 3 starter Torchic couldn&#8217;t do enough to rule the roost, but still managed a respectable podium finish.<\/p>\n<h3>2. Cyndaquil<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"2Cyndaquil\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/50dbbde100690\/2cyndaquil.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/50dbbde100690\/2cyndaquil.900x.jpg\" alt=\"2Cyndaquil\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>24% of your love put Gen 2 Fire \u00b4mon Cyndaquil in second place, which leaves only one possibility for the number one spot&#8230;<\/p>\n<h3>1. Charmander<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"1Charmander\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/2279ce48ceed6\/1charmander.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/2279ce48ceed6\/1charmander.900x.jpg\" alt=\"1Charmander\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Yes, the top 3 fire-places follow their order of release, with <em>Char-Char-<\/em>Charmander taking the top spot. We can&#8217;t help thinking his ultimate evolution into the mighty Charizard gave this little fiery fellow a helping hand.
