Because it&#8217;s kind of cloud-like and we miss seeing its adorable face<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Although it would have been a pretty safe guess regardless, it has been confirmed that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/pokemon_sword_and_shield\"><strong>Pok\u00e9mon Sword and Shield<\/strong><\/a> will not support cloud saves on Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes from the eShop listing for the two games &#8211; pre-purchasing is now live (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/10\/early_digital_pokemon_sword_and_shield_pre-orders_also_include_a_steelbook_for_some_reason\">with a surprising bonus gift<\/a> for those in Europe) and we&#8217;ve already heard about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/10\/pokemon_sword_and_shield_file_size_revealed_on_the_japanese_switch_eshop\">the games&#8217; file sizes<\/a>, but other details found on the page include the confirmation. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/pokemon_lets_go_pikachu_and_lets_go_eevee\"><strong>Pok\u00e9mon: Let&#8217;s Go, Pikachu! and Let&#8217;s Go, Eevee!<\/strong><\/a> also lacked cloud support, so it would have been more surprising to see Sword and Shield support the feature, rather than not have it.<\/p>\n<p>As a side note, this means that the process becomes a little more tricky for anyone wanting to play the games on their original Switch and then continue playing on their Switch Lite.
