Ash and his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/09\/video_check_out_ash_and_pikachu_in_the_new_pokemon_anime_series\">new companion Go<\/a> will kickstart their adventure here before heading out on a journey which appears to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/09\/the_pokemon_sword_and_shield_anime_will_be_set_across_every_region_from_kanto_to_galar\">span across every single Pok\u00e9mon region<\/a> introduced so far.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, this professor is not the same as the one set to appear in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/pokemon_sword_and_shield\"><strong>Pok\u00e9mon Sword and Shield<\/strong><\/a>, despite the anime usually featuring key characters from the games. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/06\/heres_your_first_look_at_pokemon_sword_and_shields_champion_rival_professor_and_more\">Professor Magnolia<\/a> is the resident know-it-all in Sword and Shield&#8217;s Galar region.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><figcaption class=\"caption\">Professor Sakuragi<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Alongside Professor Sakuragi, Koharu has also been revealed (as seen in the image at the top of this article). She is the 10-year-old daughter of Professor Sakuragi and is a childhood friend of Go.
