In the last part we got as far as trading the Necklace for the Scale, so assuming that you have the Scale in your inventory, let\u2019s find a place for it.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, we don\u2019t have to go far. Climb out on the east bank of Martha\u2019s Bay and head south of the bridge you found the fisherman under. Either quickly head to the top or hit them with a charged sword attack as you hear them get close.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Receiving the Magnifying Lens\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/c60a06194ebd3\/receiving-the-magnifying-lens.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/c60a06194ebd3\/receiving-the-magnifying-lens.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Receiving the Magnifying Lens\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>You will see a magnifying lens on a raised area at the top of the cave. Pick it up \u2013 its effects are applied automatically for the rest of the game.<\/p>\n<p>Primarily the magnifying lens\u2019 allows you to read a particular book in the Mabe Village library for directions to a particular dungeon. We\u2019ll leave heading there until relevant \u2013 there are, however, a couple of places where your new-found skills of perception come in handy \u2013 let\u2019s head to them now.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"using-the-magnifying-lens-to-find-the-boomerang\">Using the Magnifying Lens to find the Boomerang<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Talking to the friendly hidden Zora for a boomerang hint\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/c724211d42d83\/talking-to-the-friendly-hidden-zora-for-a-boomerang-hint.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/c724211d42d83\/talking-to-the-friendly-hidden-zora-for-a-boomerang-hint.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Talking to the friendly hidden Zora for a boomerang hint\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>The northeastern house in the Animal Village appears unoccupied when you enter it earlier in the game. However, once you have the magnifying glass you will find a friendly Zora bathing in the pool there. In addition to handing you a secret seashell in exchange for your silence, he will tell you about a Cave at Tornobo Shores with another usually invisible resident.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Tornobo Shores Boomerang Cave\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/016f812665aca\/tornobo-shores-boomerang-cave.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/016f812665aca\/tornobo-shores-boomerang-cave.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Tornobo Shores Boomerang Cave\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>The cave is found south of the banana plantation and west of the secluded beach where you talked with Marin. Bomb the cracked wall here and head inside.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link receives the Boomerang in exchange for another item\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/e2a47550f5699\/link-receives-the-boomerang-in-exchange-for-another-item.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/e2a47550f5699\/link-receives-the-boomerang-in-exchange-for-another-item.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link receives the Boomerang in exchange for another item\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Come here before you have the Magnifying Lens and the cave will appear unoccupied \u2013 with the lens, you can see an Item Trading Goriya who has acquired a Boomerang. He would like one of your items in return, but it\u2019s definitely worth it. If you have hunted down all secret seashells the shovel is an obvious choice for this, however &#8211; exclusively in the Switch remake, you can buy back your traded item for 300 gems anyway.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"ancient-ruins-walkthrough\">Ancient Ruins Walkthrough<\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"ancient-ruins-n-locating-and-navigating\">Ancient Ruins \u2013 Locating and Navigating<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Heading north from the underground tunnel near Animal Village\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/b982fcb546d8e\/heading-north-from-the-underground-tunnel-near-animal-village.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/b982fcb546d8e\/heading-north-from-the-underground-tunnel-near-animal-village.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Heading north from the underground tunnel near Animal Village\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Return to the Animal Village and head north, past the stairs to the underwater passage that first brought you to these shores. There are two shrines: one to the north, the other to the south<br \/>First, head south, where ancient ruins speak of the Wind Fish\u2026<br \/>You will learn much there\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Ancient Ruins entrance\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/859edb9bb7221\/ancient-ruins-entrance.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/859edb9bb7221\/ancient-ruins-entrance.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Ancient Ruins entrance\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Head south as the Owl suggests. The Ancient Ruins is a deserted area filled with armed statues (Armos) with a vague Terracotta Army whiff about them. Continue heading south and intentionally walk into one of the Armos blocking your way.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Fighting Armos in the Ancient Ruins\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/e4a3e0af0b242\/fighting-armos-in-the-ancient-ruins.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/e4a3e0af0b242\/fighting-armos-in-the-ancient-ruins.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Fighting Armos in the Ancient Ruins\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Once touched, some Armos activate and begin hopping randomly in your direction. The only weapons that will hurt them are your Bow and Boomerang. They often drop arrows to replenish the former, which also does more damage.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Entering the main building in the Ancient Ruins\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/5d228bb6cc948\/entering-the-main-building-in-the-ancient-ruins.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/5d228bb6cc948\/entering-the-main-building-in-the-ancient-ruins.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Entering the main building in the Ancient Ruins\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Continue heading in a general westerly direction, bumping up against Armos and fighting them as you go. The main building in the ancient ruins in found in the northwestern corner.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"ancient-ruins-miniboss-n-armos-knight-and-the-face-key\">Ancient Ruins Miniboss \u2013 Armos Knight and the Face Key<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Jumping the Knight Armos' attacks in the Ancient Ruins\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/76c9d640be278\/jumping-the-knight-armos-attacks-in-the-ancient-ruins.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/76c9d640be278\/jumping-the-knight-armos-attacks-in-the-ancient-ruins.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Jumping the Knight Armos' attacks in the Ancient Ruins\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>In the second room of the ruined building your progress will be stopped by a large Armos Knight. He will lumber towards you doing a fair bit of damage, and he will periodically jump \u2013 this shakes the floor, stunning and damaging you. Jump to avoid this. The Armos Knight is invulnerable to a lot of your tools \u2013 unlike the Armos you\u2019ve fought up to now, he won\u2019t be damaged by your boomerang. Use your bow, or alternatively a charged sword or dash attack (the sword attacks can be quite difficult to time towards the end of the fight, as the Armos Knight will speed up).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Receiving the Face Key in the Ancient Ruins\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/72204370d0f2a\/receiving-the-face-key-in-the-ancient-ruins.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/72204370d0f2a\/receiving-the-face-key-in-the-ancient-ruins.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Receiving the Face Key in the Ancient Ruins\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Do enough damage and the Armos Knight is destroyed. You will receive the Face Key and can now access the Face Shrine to the north. Head for the small island with the two Armos statues \u2013 the lefthand one will activate as you touch it. Head left to start your search.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Fighting Wizzrobes in an early Face Shrine room\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/fe93d464e6f3e\/fighting-wizzrobes-in-an-early-face-shrine-room.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/fe93d464e6f3e\/fighting-wizzrobes-in-an-early-face-shrine-room.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Fighting Wizzrobes in an early Face Shrine room\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Your first enemy encounter will be with a group of Wizzrobes \u2013 expect to see a lot of them in this dungeon. They will continuously disappear and reappear under their hats and throw a fireball at you. Damage them with arrows, your boomerang and\/or a bomb. Clearing the room opens the gate on the right \u2013 currently a dead-end with a 50 rupee chest and an elephant-shaped statue that you cannot currently lift. Do this once (lowering all blue barriers, raising all orange) and head up one screen, using the righthand corridor. Inside is the Powerful Bracelet \u2013 an upgraded Power Bracelet that will let you shift even heavier objects \u2013 including all those elephant statues you keep seeing. You will enter with the blue barriers raised and the orange barrier lowered \u2013 open the chest for another 100 rupees then duck out of the dungeon by climbing the steps \u2013 you will emerge in the Raft Rapids area \u2013 open the chest for a secret seashell, and head back into the dungeon.<\/p>\n<p>Now, to deal with the chess pieces: throw them a few times to get used to how they work \u2013 they move similarly to real knight pieces in chess, moving either diagonally left or right of where they are thrown from (they travel a little further, however). If you pick up the black knight, stand on the fourth floor-tile from the left, in the lowest row, and throw to the left, the knight should bounce into the left receptacle.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Horsie flanks Prawn.\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/15843620d4a2b\/horsie-flanks-prawn.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/15843620d4a2b\/horsie-flanks-prawn.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Horsie flanks Prawn.\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>The White Knight requires similar treatment \u2013 face\/throw right on the fifth tile from the left, first row (as pictured). This will open the lower door. Before you leave, you will also have to lower the blue barriers \u2013 throw a bomb or your boomerang to achieve this.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Defeating Wizzrobes in the orange barrier room for a Small Key\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/bf4a81903d178\/defeating-wizzrobes-in-the-orange-barrier-room-for-a-small-key.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/bf4a81903d178\/defeating-wizzrobes-in-the-orange-barrier-room-for-a-small-key.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Defeating Wizzrobes in the orange barrier room for a Small Key\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Take the righthand exit in the next room (returning to the room with the gem-switch where you got the compass). Before you leave, cycle the gem switch once to lower some upcoming orange barriers. Follow the path to the right until you reach a room filled with (lowered) orange barriers. You will once again encounter some Wizzrobes (as well as a bouncing fire-skull \u2018bubble\u2019 enemy) \u2013 kill the Wizzrobes to receive a Small Key.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re essentially done in this wing of the shrine. If you head south from the current room you will see an Owl Statue on the other side \u2013 optionally, you can circle back here (it\u2019s up some steps in the room where you bombed the wall to find a route towards the Powerful Bracelet). It will say:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Enter the space where the eyes have walls\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Otherwise, return to the very first room of the shrine (either by walking it or using Manbo\u2019s Mambo). Head right this time. Hop over the conveyor belts with the blade traps. In the next room, you will have a series of floor tiles thrown at you \u2013 do your best to dodge and jump them, and once all are gone you can leave via the top exit.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link throws another helpless elephant at a pottery door\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/58c7e83a25159\/link-throws-another-helpless-elephant-at-a-pottery-door.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/58c7e83a25159\/link-throws-another-helpless-elephant-at-a-pottery-door.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link throws another helpless elephant at a pottery door\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>In this eastern wing of the shrine you will find yourself in a room with two elephant statues, a locked exit to the top, and a pottery door to your right. Take them out one by one to secure a way out (or three). He\u2019s quick to pick it up once thrown, but if you avoid a throw and get to the ball quick enough, you can turn the tables and throw it back at him. After four hits, he explodes and you can continue your journey.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"face-shrine-finding-the-nightmare-key\">Face Shrine: Finding the Nightmare Key<\/h3>\n<p>If you repeatedly continue heading north after defeating the miniboss, the same three rooms will unexpectedly loop again and again. The real exit is a hidden staircase in the room above the miniboss arena \u2013 lift the left-hand Elephant statue to uncover a staircase.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Second flying tile room, after the tiles have been thrown\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/d62443e11bc4c\/second-flying-tile-room-after-the-tiles-have-been-thrown.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/d62443e11bc4c\/second-flying-tile-room-after-the-tiles-have-been-thrown.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Second flying tile room, after the tiles have been thrown\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>After an underground sidescrolling section, you emerge into another room where you can expect to be assaulted by flying tiles. This time, there are pits to fall into when the tiles a thrown. Instead of immediately using the lock block and escaping, jump and dodge all of the tiles to be rewarded with another Small Key. Now use the lock block and follow the path, smashing open another pottery door with an elephant statue on the way.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Prawn takes Horsie.\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/c18d52bfff922\/prawn-takes-horsie.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/c18d52bfff922\/prawn-takes-horsie.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Prawn takes Horsie.\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>You will find that you are moving back towards the western wing of the dungeon \u2013 you will have to deal with a chess-piece puzzle that you will have seen from above earlier. The solution to this one is relatively easy. Firstly, throw the black knight left from the tile below the right socket<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Bishop to Knight Five. Double Check and Mate, sucker!\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/8282b0b65284e\/bishop-to-knight-five-double-check-and-mate-sucker.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/8282b0b65284e\/bishop-to-knight-five-double-check-and-mate-sucker.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Bishop to Knight Five. Double Check and Mate, sucker!\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Then throw the white knight right from the tile below the left socket. Head left and take the stairs in the next room.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Dashing under some thwomps in the Face Shrine\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/be65ea3936f33\/dashing-under-some-thwomps-in-the-face-shrine.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/be65ea3936f33\/dashing-under-some-thwomps-in-the-face-shrine.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Dashing under some thwomps in the Face Shrine\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>You\u2019ll find yourself in another sidescrolling area \u2013 use your dash to dodge both sets of thwomps.<\/p>\n<p>The room you emerge into will feature two locked doors and three Poe\u2019s Voice enemies (rabbit eared enemies that need to be bombed). Claim your loot \u2013 a cool 300 rupees. Stand on the fourth tile from the left on the second row and throw the white Knight.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Yet another throw of the horsie in the Face Shrine\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/3c4ad0cbd072b\/yet-another-throw-of-the-horsie-in-the-face-shrine.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/3c4ad0cbd072b\/yet-another-throw-of-the-horsie-in-the-face-shrine.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Yet another throw of the horsie in the Face Shrine\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Lower the blue barriers by throwing a bomb or your boomerang at the gem switch. Stand on the corner blue square and throw the black knight to the right. Return to the room with the Poe\u2019s Voices and take the lower door.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Dodongo Snakes return to chomp on bombs\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/b9a77bc725b69\/dodongo-snakes-return-to-chomp-on-bombs.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/b9a77bc725b69\/dodongo-snakes-return-to-chomp-on-bombs.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Dodongo Snakes return to chomp on bombs\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>The next room contains a familiar sight \u2013 a repeat of the Dodongo Snakes miniboss from the Key Cavern. As before, place bombs in front of their mouths and wait for them to eat enough to explode. Leave via the left exit once the deed is done.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Hookshotting over the flooded trench\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/3ec76709d5388\/hookshotting-over-the-flooded-trench.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/3ec76709d5388\/hookshotting-over-the-flooded-trench.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Hookshotting over the flooded trench\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>You will find yourself on the upper level of the long hall with the flooded trench. Use your hookshot to get across to the other side and spend your Small Key in the lock block there. Head upwards and throw the pots out of the way of the Owl Statue, which will say:<\/p>\n<p>To open a treasure chest, use the pots around it.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link claims the Nightmare Key after smashing a pot against the chest containing it\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/a929120e30467\/link-claims-the-nightmare-key-after-smashing-a-pot-against-the-chest-containing-it.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/a929120e30467\/link-claims-the-nightmare-key-after-smashing-a-pot-against-the-chest-containing-it.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link claims the Nightmare Key after smashing a pot against the chest containing it\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Throw a pot at the chest to open it and receive the Nightmare key. As you leave, check the gem switch is set to orange (this will leave orange barriers raised). Jump in the flooded trench and exit to the south.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"face-shrine-defeating-the-nightmaredungeon-boss-n-facade\">Face Shrine: Defeating the Nightmare\/Dungeon Boss \u2013 Fa\u00e7ade<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Hopping on raised orange barriers to claim Crazy Tracey's lotion\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/bece92beb52e8\/hopping-on-raised-orange-barriers-to-claim-crazy-traceys-lotion.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/bece92beb52e8\/hopping-on-raised-orange-barriers-to-claim-crazy-traceys-lotion.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Hopping on raised orange barriers to claim Crazy Tracey's lotion\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Leaving the long hall via its lower exit, you will enter the room in which you fought the four Wizzrobes. Take the lower exit this time. In the next room, the Owl Statue will state:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Hop on top of the crystals to move forward.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Climb the steps directly below and drop off the ledge and onto the raised orange barrier. Jump to the single barrier on the right, and then head up the stairs and leave via the raised area. The chest in the next room contains some of Crazy Tracy\u2019s lotion.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Vacuum Mouth destroyed, Link exits right\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/9cc3cd513f4b5\/vacuum-mouth-destroyed-link-exits-right.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/9cc3cd513f4b5\/vacuum-mouth-destroyed-link-exits-right.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Vacuum Mouth destroyed, Link exits right\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>At this point you will need to loop back to the room with the flying tiles (from the beginning of the Nightmare Key section above.) This time, head south \u2013 you will find a room with a Vacuum Mouth in the centre \u2013 when it stops inhaling, jump and swing your sword at it. Tour the rest of the room and take out all green Zol to open the door to the right.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Jumping trenches towards the Nightmare\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/4f2248c4eaa87\/jumping-trenches-towards-the-nightmare.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/4f2248c4eaa87\/jumping-trenches-towards-the-nightmare.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Jumping trenches towards the Nightmare\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Take out the Wizzrobes in the next room to open the upper door. On the right side of the room you should jump the gap diagonally to access the upper area \u2013 just avoid the pit and the laser gaze of the Beamos in the lower right.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Lighting the torches outside the Nightmare's Lair\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/98c0561ff4656\/lighting-the-torches-outside-the-nightmares-lair.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/98c0561ff4656\/lighting-the-torches-outside-the-nightmares-lair.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Lighting the torches outside the Nightmare's Lair\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Light the torches in the next room to take out the Sparks and open the Nightmare door.<\/p>\n<p>Enter the boss arena and a cartoonish face will form in the floortiles, ready with a taunt:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Hey, dummy! Need a hint? My weak point is\u2026<br \/>Whoops! There I go, talking too much again\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Facade appears\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/5b8ae741c20f0\/facade-appears.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/5b8ae741c20f0\/facade-appears.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Facade appears\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>This Nightmare is Fa\u00e7ade. Considering he is only a face, the weak-point he isn\u2019t telling you about is in fact, his face. In all upcoming phases, lay\/throw a bomb on his face to hurt him.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Facade throws floor tiles in his first phase\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/a0d1ce8251352\/facade-throws-floor-tiles-in-his-first-phase.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/a0d1ce8251352\/facade-throws-floor-tiles-in-his-first-phase.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Facade throws floor tiles in his first phase\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>The first phase of his attack will involve more tile dodging \u2013 get as many bomb throws in as possible. The pots will also get thrown once all of the orange tiles have been used up.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Pits open as Facade moves around the battle arena\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/589d7874029aa\/pits-open-as-facade-moves-around-the-battle-arena.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/589d7874029aa\/pits-open-as-facade-moves-around-the-battle-arena.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Pits open as Facade moves around the battle arena\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Once the room is clear, Fa\u00e7ade will start to move around the arena, and pits will open up in his wake. Avoid the pitfalls and throw your bombs wherever he comes to a stop. When you need just one more hit there will be a large number of pits to dodge.
