How many instruments have you gotten so far?<br \/>When you play the instruments in front of the egg, the Wind Fish will wake and you will leave this island.<br \/>Now, you must hasten to the Yarna Desert!<br \/>The dark, monstrous inhabitants of the sand will show you the way! Hoot hoot!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>With Roc\u2019s Feather, the Power Bracelet and Pegasus Boots in your possession, Koholint Island really opens up \u2013 you will be able to reach most sections of the map and may want to wander off in search of heart pieces, secret seashells and other paths. The route towards Yarna Desert is quite specific and we\u2019ll get to it in due course \u2013 there are two detours we recommend taking first.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"detour-dream-shrine-and-the-ocarina\">Detour: Dream Shrine and the Ocarina<\/h3>\n<p>Before we head off in search of the Yarna Desert, it\u2019s worth returning to Mabe Village to complete the Dream Shrine now that you have the Pegasus Boots. This detour is non-essential, however getting it out of the way now will ensure that you can pick up a very useful song for the Ocarina immediately after the upcoming dungeon.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Entrance to Dream Shrine\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/4afde2ff9e9e8\/entrance-to-dream-shrine.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/4afde2ff9e9e8\/entrance-to-dream-shrine.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Entrance to Dream Shrine\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>The Dream Shrine is in the northeast of Mabe Village, behind some rocks. Enter and get into the bed.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Dashing in the Dream Shrine\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/5e16d099d8340\/dashing-in-the-dream-shrine.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/5e16d099d8340\/dashing-in-the-dream-shrine.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Dashing in the Dream Shrine\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>You will enter a single room dungeon filled with Arm-Mimics mirroring your movement while standing on crumbling tiles. After exiting the Dream Shrine you should head to the Mabe Village wind vane to find Marin \u2013 she will teach you the Ballad of the Wind Fish in a sweet scene (though the song doesn\u2019t have any particular function).<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"the-linkrs-awakening-trading-sequence-part-three-n-step-six-stick-for-honeycomb\">The Link\u2019s Awakening Trading Sequence: Part Three \u2013 Step Six: Stick for Honeycomb<\/h3>\n<p>In the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2019\/09\/guide_zelda_linkrs_awakening_walkthrough_part_four_-_kanalet_castle_golden_leaves_and_the_key_cavern#the-linkrs-awakening-trading-sequence-part-two-n-step-five-bananas-for-stick-and-kanalet-castle-bridge\">previous guide,<\/a> the trading sequence intersected with the main quest and we received a Stick. The next two steps in the sequence coincide with our travels towards the next dungeon, so it is worth keeping up with the quest.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Tarin asks Link for a stick\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/b3b0b00e3a185\/tarin-asks-link-for-a-stick.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/b3b0b00e3a185\/tarin-asks-link-for-a-stick.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Tarin asks Link for a stick\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Head to Ukuku Prairie and look for a tree north of the lake and smallest hill \u2013 Tarin is here looking at a bee\u2019s nest<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Oh?! Link, I see ya have a nice Stick\u2026<br \/>Can I borrow it for a second?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Hand it over and things go exactly the way you expect: Tarin gets chased by a swarm of bees.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link receives the honeycomb\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/1f29d38e71a05\/link-receives-the-honeycomb.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/1f29d38e71a05\/link-receives-the-honeycomb.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link receives the honeycomb\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Tarin\u2019s loss is your gain \u2013 Link will lose the Stick and receive the Honeycomb. We\u2019ll find a recipient for that item just a little later in this guide.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"heading-to-animal-village-on-the-way-to-yarna-desert\">Heading to Animal Village (on the Way to Yarna Desert)<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Entrance steps to tunnel towards animal village and Yarna Desert\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/c9711674932ce\/entrance-steps-to-tunnel-towards-animal-village-and-yarna-desert.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/c9711674932ce\/entrance-steps-to-tunnel-towards-animal-village-and-yarna-desert.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Entrance steps to tunnel towards animal village and Yarna Desert\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>The way to Yarna Desert can be a little tricky to find. Your access point \u2013 a set of stairs under a river &#8211; is actually discretely hidden under a bush. Head to the small wooded area below Kanalet Castle and the Shell Mansion \u2013 walk to the river to the east. Across the water you can see a set of stairs with no obvious counterpart. Swipe your sword at the bush on your shore to expose the stairs. Head through the tunnel and emerge on the other side. Head south.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Animal Village entrance\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/7406a00ace722\/animal-village-entrance.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/7406a00ace722\/animal-village-entrance.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Animal Village entrance\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>To the east is Animal Village. The characters here speak fondly of Marin and a few will note that the way to Yarna Desert is currently blocked. Take a look around the south of the village and you will find a hugely useful warp point, as well as a house standing slightly apart from the others in the south-eastern corner.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"the-linkrs-awakening-trading-sequence-part-three-n-step-seven-honeycomb-for-pineapple\">The Link\u2019s Awakening Trading Sequence: Part Three \u2013 Step Seven: Honeycomb for Pineapple<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Chef Bear's house in Animal Village\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/a6931b5eb6ea5\/chef-bears-house-in-animal-village.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/a6931b5eb6ea5\/chef-bears-house-in-animal-village.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Chef Bear's house in Animal Village\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Head into the house in the south-eastern corner to meet Chef Bear, who sniffs out your honeycomb:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Hi ho! Hey, you! Is that possibly a honeycomb you have?<br \/>I just ran out! Will you swap it for a Pineapple?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link trades the honeycomb for a pineapple with Chef Bear\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/631716cd17bc0\/link-trades-the-honeycomb-for-a-pineapple-with-chef-bear.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/631716cd17bc0\/link-trades-the-honeycomb-for-a-pineapple-with-chef-bear.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link trades the honeycomb for a pineapple with Chef Bear\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Hand the honeycomb over for the Pineapple. Again, we\u2019ll find someone who\u2019ll take that item off your hands later in this guide.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"finding-marin-and-waking-the-walrus\">Finding Marin and waking the Walrus<\/h3>\n<p>Chef Bear also has some helpful information about the Walrus blocking the entrance to Yarna Desert.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Hi ho! Yeah, I know, that tub of goo is asleep right in the way to Yarna Desert!<br \/>Once he\u2019s asleep, he won\u2019t budge for a loooooonng time.<br \/>But hey! Take Little Marin and wake him up with her singing!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>If you want to confirm it for yourself, head out of the village, turn south and then east to find the Walrus, who is loudly snoring and somehow articulating little Marin emojis.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link finds Marin by the shoreline\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/32c439746ef7b\/link-finds-marin-by-the-shoreline.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/32c439746ef7b\/link-finds-marin-by-the-shoreline.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link finds Marin by the shoreline\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Return to Mabe Village (ideally, using the warp point in nearby Ukuku Prairie) and you will find that Marin isn\u2019t in her usual spot by the weather vane. Head to the beach and go east \u2013 beyond the banana plantation is a small, isolated bay with a log \u2013 Marin is here, looking out at the horizon.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Marin offers her service as a Walrus Waker\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/5c6daac1d93b0\/marin-offers-her-service-as-a-walrus-waker.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/5c6daac1d93b0\/marin-offers-her-service-as-a-walrus-waker.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Marin offers her service as a Walrus Waker\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Approach her and watch a cute scene between Link and Marin:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I wonder where these coconut trees come from? \u2026<br \/>Tarin says there is nothing beyond the sea.<br \/>But I believe there must be something over there\u2026<br \/>\u2026<br \/>When I discovered you, Link, my heart skipped a beat!<br \/>I thought, this person has come to give us a message\u2026<br \/>\u2026 \u2026 \u2026 \u2026<br \/>If I was a seagull, I would fly as far as I could!<br \/>I would fly to faraway places and sing for many people!<br \/>If I wish to the Wind Fish, I wonder if my dream will come true\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The conversation turns to the Walrus and Marin agrees to come with you, with the following bizarre visual:<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link holds Marin aloft like an item\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/413e4fb77d6a4\/link-holds-marin-aloft-like-an-item.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/413e4fb77d6a4\/link-holds-marin-aloft-like-an-item.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link holds Marin aloft like an item\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Marin will follow behind you and is ok to travel through warp points, so head back to the Animal Village and the Walrus (head south from the village, then east).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Startling the Walrus with Marin's Ballad of the Windfish\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/d4dde8b37d26d\/startling-the-walrus-with-marins-ballad-of-the-windfish.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/d4dde8b37d26d\/startling-the-walrus-with-marins-ballad-of-the-windfish.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Startling the Walrus with Marin's Ballad of the Windfish\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Marin will sing and the Walrus will jump with a start before agreeing to slide into the sea. Marin will head back to Animal Village for now. Finally, you can get into Yarna Desert!<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"yarna-desert-and-lanmola-miniboss\">Yarna Desert and Lanmola Miniboss<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Fighting the miniboss in Yarna Desert\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/4da69f1a61b27\/fighting-the-miniboss-in-yarna-desert.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/4da69f1a61b27\/fighting-the-miniboss-in-yarna-desert.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Fighting the miniboss in Yarna Desert\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Aside from a number of buried secret shells, there\u2019s not a lot to do in Yarna Desert besides heading north to the enclosed area with the quicksand. As you enter the arena, a voice sneers:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Annoyance! You are only getting in the way!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A red, centipede-like enemy called a Lanmola will burst in and out of the sand \u2013 hit his head repeatedly with a charge attack to do damage and avoid the vortex at the centre of the arena (you will survive being drawn in, but the boss will be fully healed when you return).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link claims the Angler Key in a cave in Yarna Desert\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/705a1e2105f9e\/link-claims-the-angler-key-in-a-cave-in-yarna-desert.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/705a1e2105f9e\/link-claims-the-angler-key-in-a-cave-in-yarna-desert.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link claims the Angler Key in a cave in Yarna Desert\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>After several hits he will explode and relinquish the Angler Key, which will get drawn in by the quicksand. Follow the key and pick it up.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"using-the-angler-key-to-reveal-the-anglerrs-tunnel-entrance\">Using the Angler Key to reveal the Angler\u2019s Tunnel Entrance<\/h3>\n<p>Angler Key in hand, exit Yarna Desert to encounter the ever-helpful Owl:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Hoot! The shape of the key shows a fish, swimming up a cascade of water!<br \/>Go now to the mountain waterfall!<br \/>A leap from the top and you will reach your goal!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link reads a signpost on the way to the Angler's Tunnel\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/fda6cdc55d1b5\/link-reads-a-signpost-on-the-way-to-the-anglers-tunnel.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/fda6cdc55d1b5\/link-reads-a-signpost-on-the-way-to-the-anglers-tunnel.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link reads a signpost on the way to the Angler's Tunnel\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>The mountain area in question is in the north-east of the map. If your travels haven\u2019t already taken you there, you will need to head north from Koholint Prairie (above the Moblin Cave from which you rescued Bow-Wow, and in the Switch version, Dampe\u2019s Hut). Head east below the cliffs, but pass the two ladders leading up and stick to the grassy area for now.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Climbing down steps on the way to the Angler's Tunnel\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/d629a84388d3d\/climbing-down-steps-on-the-way-to-the-anglers-tunnel.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/d629a84388d3d\/climbing-down-steps-on-the-way-to-the-anglers-tunnel.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Climbing down steps on the way to the Angler's Tunnel\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Continue heading east until you find a ladder down. Continue to head east here, defeating the Pig Warriors as you go.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link uses the Angler Key\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/235688429872d\/link-uses-the-angler-key.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/235688429872d\/link-uses-the-angler-key.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link uses the Angler Key\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>About halfway along this plateau you will find the fish-shaped keyhole for the Angler\u2019s Key opposite a huge waterfall. Insert the key and the waterfall will part to reveal the entrance to the Angler\u2019s Tunnel.<\/p>\n<p>Climbing to the top of the waterfall requires you to head back to the west (though for now you should quickly detour east to activate a warp point for Tal Tal Heights)<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"climbing-the-mountain-waterfall\">Climbing the Mountain Waterfall<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link climbs towards the mountain waterfall and Tal Tal Heights\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/e1d54ddbea758\/link-climbs-towards-the-mountain-waterfall-and-tal-tal-heights.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/e1d54ddbea758\/link-climbs-towards-the-mountain-waterfall-and-tal-tal-heights.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link climbs towards the mountain waterfall and Tal Tal Heights\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Head back east and climb back to the level you were at previously. Continue back east and climb the first of the two ladders on this level \u2013 this leads you to the Tal Tal Mountain Range. Use your sword to quickly destroy the upper left purple crystal (don\u2019t be too slow, otherwise the floor will crumble). His prediction came true \u2013 he\u2019s lost and hungry, Thankfully, you recently became the proud owner of a succulent Pineapple, which Papahl is all too happy to relieve you of. In exchange he\u2019ll give you a Hibiscus \u2013 a flower that you may have heard someone in the Animal Village asking after. Thankfully, the Angler\u2019s Tunnel is a relatively small dungeon. In fact, you can actually get yourself three crucial items in quick succession. As you enter you will see a pair of pushable blocks &#8211; the lefthand one is cracked. Place a bomb next to it to destroy it. Push the remaining block into the water. Open the chest and claim a Small Key \u2013 the first of five.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Bombing more cracked blocks on the way to a small key chest\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/d3643cba164cd\/bombing-more-cracked-blocks-on-the-way-to-a-small-key-chest.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/d3643cba164cd\/bombing-more-cracked-blocks-on-the-way-to-a-small-key-chest.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Bombing more cracked blocks on the way to a small key chest\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Exit the first flooded room by heading north. The next room is similarly flooded, with even less walking space. Open it up for your third Small Key. Return to the previous room and exit through the locked door to the right. Unlock the lock block and push the block above where the lock block was up. Head left.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Fourth key room - the key falls through the lefthand hole\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/180c85d967c63\/fourth-key-room-the-key-falls-through-the-lefthand-hole.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/180c85d967c63\/fourth-key-room-the-key-falls-through-the-lefthand-hole.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Fourth key room - the key falls through the lefthand hole\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Kill the red gel enemies in this room and the fourth small key will drop from the ceiling \u2013 and fall immediately into the lefthand pit. In the previous room, the staircase we blocked off contains a sidescrolling area into which the key has now fallen &#8211; however, the key is now in deep water and is not currently within reach. For now, you should head down.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link recieves future puzzle advice from an Owl statue\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/715cce383b615\/link-recieves-future-puzzle-advice-from-an-owl-statue.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/715cce383b615\/link-recieves-future-puzzle-advice-from-an-owl-statue.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link recieves future puzzle advice from an Owl statue\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Heading down you will enter a large flooded room. Just head right for now.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Finding small key number 5 in the annex\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/5c9a2f776f852\/finding-small-key-number-5-in-the-annex.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/5c9a2f776f852\/finding-small-key-number-5-in-the-annex.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Finding small key number 5 in the annex\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>You will find a chest in a small annex of a larger room \u2013 here you\u2019ll find the dungeon\u2019s fifth and final Small Key (though the fourth remains in deep water for now).<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"anglerrs-tunnel-fighting-the-miniboss-cue-ball\">Angler\u2019s Tunnel: Fighting the Miniboss, Cue Ball<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Returning to the Miniboss' door\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/3d9c07b79e7cf\/returning-to-the-miniboss-door.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/3d9c07b79e7cf\/returning-to-the-miniboss-door.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Returning to the Miniboss' door\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>With the one unspent key in your inventory, circle back around the rooms you\u2019ve just been in until you reach the locked door (in the room where you saw the fourth key fall). Head through to encounter the Angler Tunnel\u2019s miniboss, Cue Ball.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Cue Ball takes a hit while spinning in the corner\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/a85496f0ceb5e\/cue-ball-takes-a-hit-while-spinning-in-the-corner.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/a85496f0ceb5e\/cue-ball-takes-a-hit-while-spinning-in-the-corner.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Cue Ball takes a hit while spinning in the corner\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Cue Ball charges along the edges of his boss room, moving faster than Link \u2013 he\u2019s also impervious to your sword swings from the front \u2013 you need to get at him from the back. There are two ways to achieve this \u2013 firstly, use Roc\u2019s Feather to jump him as he charges you, then turn and get a few hits in. Secondly, you can get hits in from the side because he stops for a beat or two before each turn. Head north once Cue Ball is dead.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"anglerrs-tunnel-finding-the-flippers\">Angler\u2019s Tunnel: Finding the Flippers<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Pulling a lever to seperate the moving blocks\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/871e672408776\/pulling-a-lever-to-seperate-the-moving-blocks.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/871e672408776\/pulling-a-lever-to-seperate-the-moving-blocks.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Pulling a lever to seperate the moving blocks\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>As you enter the next room, two blocks will start to slide into place covering both the entrance and exit. Their movement is linked to a long lever on the upper right of the room \u2013 pull it back down to reset the blocks, and head through the left exit (making sure to time letting go of the lever with the movement of the Spark).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link recieves the Flippers\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/36b15c04178e4\/link-recieves-the-flippers.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/36b15c04178e4\/link-recieves-the-flippers.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link recieves the Flippers\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Dodge the fireballs as you enter the next room and climb the pedestal to open the chest \u2013 inside you will find the Flippers which allow you to enter and dive in deep water, something that is going to be hugely useful in both this dungeon and the many lakes and rivers of the overworld. Step on the first tile and follow the sequence that the light takes: Upper right, upper left, centre, lower left, lower right. Note that following the sequence doesn\u2019t actually achieve anything in this room. The version you just left was (literally) a dry run for this one, so enter the sequence you just followed again: Upper right, upper left, centre, lower left, lower right. Once the pattern is complete, a set of stairs will appear in the upper right. Take it.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Jumping on top of a thwomp en route to the Nightmare Key\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/cf9fd162f4b58\/jumping-on-top-of-a-thwomp-en-route-to-the-nightmare-key.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/cf9fd162f4b58\/jumping-on-top-of-a-thwomp-en-route-to-the-nightmare-key.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Jumping on top of a thwomp en route to the Nightmare Key\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>You enter an underwater sidescrolling area with some thwomps to dodge \u2013 they fall as you get close, and you have to swim quickly under them before they return into place. The leftmost thwomp can be tricky to get on top of \u2013 you need to trigger it, quickly climb the ladder and jump using Roc\u2019s Feather (it can be quicker to climb only two-thirds of the way up the ladder).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Don't jump from the ledge - head south!\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/9b88458c29827\/dont-jump-from-the-ledge-head-south.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/9b88458c29827\/dont-jump-from-the-ledge-head-south.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Don't jump from the ledge - head south!\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Exiting the sidescrolling area you find yourself in the lower corner of one of the flooded rooms from earlier \u2013 don\u2019t jump down the ledge just yet.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Link recieves the Nightmare Key\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/44a6de8d33dbe\/link-recieves-the-nightmare-key.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/44a6de8d33dbe\/link-recieves-the-nightmare-key.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Link recieves the Nightmare Key\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Head down a screen and the raised area continues, leading to a chest containing the Nightmare Key.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Backtracking to find where the fourth key fell\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/d634e3169c5cc\/backtracking-to-find-where-the-fourth-key-fell.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/d634e3169c5cc\/backtracking-to-find-where-the-fourth-key-fell.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Backtracking to find where the fourth key fell\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>At this point there will be several unopened chests on your map containing useful rupees \u2013 there\u2019s nothing special involved in claiming any of these \u2013 just use your new swimming powers to access them.<\/p>\n<p>The way forward to the dungeon\u2019s nightmare is still blocked, however, because we\u2019re yet to pick up the Small Key that fell into the pit earlier. Go to the sidescrolling area into which the key has fallen (use the stairs one screen right of the room where you saw the key falling, which you may also remember as the room with the entrance to the earlier miniboss). Take heed of her words:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>BLOOOP! BLOOOP! GLUB! GLUB! OGGGH! FOOOOD! BLOOOOP! GLUB!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Hitting the Angler's Fish's weakspot for massive damage\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/38c12ebcfc178\/hitting-the-anglers-fishs-weakspot-for-massive-damage.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/38c12ebcfc178\/hitting-the-anglers-fishs-weakspot-for-massive-damage.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Hitting the Angler's Fish's weakspot for massive damage\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>The Game Boy version of this boss is known for a being a bit of a pushover. The Switch version is about 99% as much of a pushover, though she is at least a little more mobile \u2013 swimming side to side and occasionally ramming the wall causing forcing you to dodge debris. Charge up sword attacks and hit the glowing orb protruding from her head* and she will soon implode, handing you a heart container and unlocking the treasure room above.<\/p>\n<p>*Marine Biologists and other orders of reader\/guide writer who can find Wikipedia articles will note that this feature is called an \u201cEsca\u201d or \u201cIllicium\u201d. Also, the Angler Fish is likely female because of the distinct and fascinating dimorphism evidenced in examples of the species.
