If you grew up with Pok\u00e9mon Red and Blue<\/strong><\/a> on the Game Boy, you’ll likely remember the games’ incredible soundtrack almost as much – if not more – than the games themselves.<\/p>\n

From epic trainer battle anthems to that wonderful Bicycle Theme, there are plenty of cracking tunes to choose from when creating a tribute album. We lovingly remember Braxton Burks’ Pok\u00e9mon Reorchestrated<\/a> from a few years back – which put an orchestral spin on proceedings – and now we’re going right to the other end of the spectrum with this metal tribute from Ro Panuganti.<\/p>\n

The album, called ‘Metal Trainer’, features nine tracks from the original games. Panuganti says, “Metal Trainer was started as a simpler, more traditional rock album that people could enjoy hearing live and playing on the go, or working out. I quickly got pulled in the nostalgia of those first Pok\u00e9mon<\/em> games, and realized that I had to keep things more progressive rock and metal to properly capture that epic journey”.<\/p>\n

The album is available as we speak on a number of different platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, and Google Play, but you can also stream the entire thing below via Bandcamp.<\/p>\n
